A South African film producer was found dead in his hotel room at the Blowfish Hotel in the Victoria Island neighborhood in Lagos, Nigeria.
Siphiwe Myeza-Mhlambi, a 25 year old,director’s family said in a statement he was found dead in his hotel room on Monday.
According to Victor Dlamini, the family spokesperson, Myeza-Mhlambi was in Lagos to shoot an advertisement for Glo. He arrived in Lagos on January 5.
Myeza-Mhlambi was the majority shareholder in the Cape Town-based 7Films company he owned with Lourens van Rensburg.
“The cause of his death has not yet been established and the family is waiting for more details as soon as the autopsy is done and the results are announced,” Dlamini said. He said the family will announce memorial service and funeral information once the arrangements have been finalized.
