Rugby Nuus – Groom wil vir Engeland in WB uitdraf

Nic Groom wil graag volgende jaar in die Wêreldbekertoernooi speel, maar wil dit glo eerder in ’n Engeland-rugbytrui doen.
Dié skrumskakel, wat voorheen vir die Stormers en Westelike Provinsie gespeel het, het hom in 2016 by die Northampton Saints aangesluit en kan in 2019 reeds kwalifiseer om vir Engeland te speel.
Die WB-toernooi word volgende jaar in Japan beslis.
Na verneem word, vergader verteenwoordigers van die Suid-Afrikaanse Rugbyunie (Saru) vandeesweek met Suid-Afrikaanse spelers in Engeland om hul belangstelling om die Springbokke in die 2019-skouspel te verteenwoordig, te peil.

It’s now quite apparent that Allister Coetzee’s days as Springbok coach are numbered but, if he has anything to do with it, he is going down swinging.
Coetzee’s future has been a subject of much speculation following a rather unsatisfactory two seasons in charge of the national team with many expecting him to cop the sack after yet another disappointing year at the helm.
